Dragonwilds server commands and admin guide
There's no text console and no remote admin API — every command runs through the in-game Server Management screen. Here's how the permissions actually work.

There is no server console
Unlike a lot of dedicated-server software, Dragonwilds has no interactive text console, no RCON, and no web admin API. The -log -NewConsole launch option opens a window, but it's read-only output — you can watch what the server is doing, not type commands into it. Everything you can actually do as an admin happens from inside the game, on the Server Management screen.
Owner, admin, and everyone else
| Role | How you get it | Can do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Your Player Id matches OwnerId in the server config | Ban and unban anyone, online or offline, any time |
| Admin | Enter the admin password on the Server Management screen | Ban players who are currently connected; cannot unban |
| Regular player | Knows the world name (and password) | No ban/unban capability |
Where world rules live
PvP, difficulty, and similar rules aren't server-config settings at all — they're part of the world save itself. Changing them means editing the world, not the dedicated server config, and moving a world means moving that save file. The server config only covers connection-level things: the world name, the admin password, and the port.
On a Wyrm Host world
Your Owner Id goes onto the world at build time, so you have owner commands from your first join — no config editing, no restarting the server yourself. See how to join a dedicated server for what your friends need, or deploy your own world.
Skip the setup — deploy a Dragonwilds world instead
Wyrm Host runs the machine, installs the dedicated server, and hands you a connect address, online in minutes with backups and auto-updates handled for you.
