Cookie policy

The short version

Wyrm Host sets two cookies of its own, both strictly necessary, and neither is used to track you across other sites. Analytics cookies are an opt-in category that is off by default. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking pixels.

You choose on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Strictly necessary

These are set without asking because the site cannot function without them. They cannot be switched off.

• wh_session: a random token that keeps you signed in. httpOnly, so scripts in the page cannot read it. Lasts up to 30 days and is cleared when you log out.
• wh_consent: your answer to the cookie banner, so we do not ask again on every visit. Lasts 180 days, after which you are asked again.
• wf-theme: not a cookie but a local-storage key on your device that remembers whether you picked light or dark mode. It is never sent to our servers.

Analytics (optional, off by default)

If you accept analytics cookies, we may use them to measure site traffic and see which pages visitors arrive from, so we can improve the site. They are never used for advertising and are not set unless you opt in. At the time of writing no analytics tool is loaded at all; if we add one it will run only for visitors who have accepted this category, and this page will be updated to name it.

Cookies set by other companies

Checkout and the billing portal are hosted by Stripe on Stripe's own domain. Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention and to run the payment page, under Stripe's privacy policy. We do not control those cookies.

Discord, if you choose to contact us there, sets cookies under Discord's own terms.

Changing your choice

Open "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to see your current choice and change it. Rejecting a category you previously accepted takes effect immediately for anything we load, and you can also delete cookies through your browser's settings; if you delete wh_consent the banner will simply ask you again.
